Manny Pacquiao takes his shot at history against Miguel Cotto

Manny Pacquiao's biggest challenge is now directly in front of him. He takes on a solid welterweight in Miguel Cotto tonight. Pacquiao said he "really needs this fight" recently on ESPN and I couldn't agree more. This is the fight that could truly set him up for legendary status. It won't make him a legend but it will set up big fights that will (assuming he wins them).

The fight with Cotto presents the biggest challenge for Pacquiao because Cotto is a prime true welterweight. Oscar De La Hoya was a great welterweight but not in his prime when Manny dismantled him. Cotto has recent victories against prime welterweights including Joshua Clottey and Shane Mosley. The fight should be a huge draw on PPV and extremely exiting to watch as well given the styles of the two fighters. Pacquiao has always been an entertaining fighter to watch with his aggressive attacking style. Don't miss this one whatever you do ...
