Brett Rogers Proves He's The Real Deal

On Saturday night, Brett Rogers took on the best in the world and showed the world that he was right there in the same league as Fedor Emelianenko. He had Fedor in trouble at one point but couldn't close out the supremely talented Russian. Dana White recently stated that Rogers would easily lose to Brock Lesnar or Cain Velasquez. Of course, that's total BS, in my opinion Rogers is probably a top three heavyweight based on that showing. Fedor hadn't been to round two in over 2 years and Rogers performance was likely better than any UFC fighter has done against Fedor. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Rogers KOs both Lesnar and Cain (if they ever fight). Only time will tell how truly good Rogers is ...

As for the UFC, their next PPV card is pretty weak with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Cain Velasquez headlining. They're doing a free television card with Couture coming up and it will be interesting to see how much that draws. I think any future work between CBS and Strikeforce will do very well especially as they get more and more exposure.
