Breidis Prescott lost a split decision to unheralded Miguel Vazquez. Vazquez had faced little or no competition in his career but stepped up big time on Friday night to take on Prescott. Prescott knocked him down in the first round but Vazquez got up and survived. He eventually started to pummel Prescott in the later rounds. When all was said and done Vazquez pulled off the upset by beating Prescott via a split decision.
Amir Khan will be fighting on Saturday for a world title against Andreas Kotelnik. Khan's only previous loss was to Prescott. It will be interesting to see if Khan ever goes back to avenge that loss especially now that Prescott has fallen himself.
